Long Island Crisis Center offers community education workshops to students and young people, as well as for faculty, administration and youth workers on a variety of topics that pertain to the concerns that teens and parents have today. If you are a school, organization or group in the Long Island community, you can take advantage of these great workshops.

Long Island Crisis Center’s long history of doing pioneer work includes its community education workshops. Topics such as Understanding Homophobia have been introduced into Long Island’s schools for over 10 years. These workshops were initially met with some hesitance from the schools, but today the request from the schools is overwhelmingly supportive. And in January 2005, Long Island Crisis Center added its most recent workshop Understanding Self-Injury, due to the high demand for the workshop.
