Long Island Crisis Center's website contains information about our organization, and offers multi-media information on issues facing youth, seniors, and families, including animated public service announcements. In addition, we accept donations through our website, and offer free, anonymous, confidential counseling through our online chat room.

General Website Data Collection
If you make a donation or order event tickets, we may collect personally identifiable information (e.g. name, address, phone number, e-mail address) from you, together with credit card information. We may enter your contact information into our database and contact you in order to:

     · Supply you with information about Long Island Crisis Center, including
       newsletters and notification of upcoming events

     · Request voluntary contributions to LICC

Our online financial transactions are managed through PayPal Services. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Other than as described above, we do not share your personally identifiable information with other third parties.

Online Counseling Data Collection
Our online counseling service is intended to be an anonymous, confidential service, and you do not have to provide any personally identifiable information. When you enter our online counseling chat room, you may choose to provide us with your name and/or e-mail address (whether these are real or made-up), or, just enter the chat room without providing any information. We do not collect personally identifiable information from you unless you provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly.

All information you provide to us through this service is deemed confidential. We will not share any personally identifiable information that you may provide to us during online counseling with any third party, unless we have your consent, or, if we have a good faith belief that disclosure to applicable authorities may protect you or others from imminent harm.

Cookies
