Welcome to the Coffeehouse - a safe, friendly, alcohol-free space where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth and their straight allies come together every Friday night to make friends, have fun and get help if they need it. The Coffeehouse hosts different activities each week – from guest speakers and performers to poetry readings and talent shows. Check out our Events page to see what’s going on this Friday.

The Coffeehouse is an important place for LGBT youth to get support from youth and adults who understand what it’s like to grow up LGBT. There’s always a professional counselor available for drop-in counseling, and everything is free and confidential. The Coffeehouse is strictly a youth-only space (under 21).


If you are new to the Coffeehouse, you MUST go through a brief orientation called: New Participant Orientation Program (NPOP) to familiarize you with Pride for Youth and its staff. NPOP is offered every Friday from 8:15-9:00pm. You will not be allowed to enter the Coffeehouse until you have gone through NPOP, so plan to arrive a little before 8:15pm.
