Gang Intervention Program
The Street Outreach Project operates a special program to assist young people affected by gangs. Concentrating on the communities of Roosevelt and Westbury, it provides street-based outreach, one-to-one counseling, group support programs, and case management to prevent youth from joining gangs and help those who are looking to leave gangs. Some services are provided in partnership with Roosevelt and Westbury school districts. S.O.P. offers Gang Awareness workshops for schools, community groups and parent organizations.
