Hi Volunteer Counselors

This is just a reminder to pleaseeeee keep your ears open for chats on Five9. In the last 60 days, we have missed 40 chats, mostly between the hours of 2pm-7pm. We are trying sooo hard to get more people to contact us, especially through chat and to see stats like this is pretty alarming. I know that the alert for chat could be better, but unfortunately I don't have control over that, so if you could remember to keep your volume on the computer up pretty high so you don't miss it, that would be helpful. Remember, the alert is the same as if someone internal was messaging you (like if I sent you a message for example). April is volunteer appreciation month! The Administrative Staff at LICC recgonizes and appreciates every single one of you every day of every month, but especially this one. Every day, you show up to your shifts with compassion and empathy. You listen without judgment. You hold space for people in their darkest moments. You are the voice that says, “You are not alone.” Whether you're answering the hotline, taking chats, or working behind the scenes — you are saving lives! We couldn’t do this without you.
